Severus (VA) the Dog needs a home
Hi, I'm Severus and I can't wait to find my forever home! You see, I was found as a stray and put in a shelter and even though I can't remember how it all happened, I do remember that it was scary and no fun! I am a Rattie mix, just a little guy of 12 lbs., and only 5 years old so I've got tons of energy and I just love to play. I am a little shy at first, and sometimes uncomfortable meeting new human friends, but if you're patient and take things slow while I get to know you, we'll probably do just fine. I do not like cats! I chase them, so no cats please. I get along with the other dogs in my foster home and sometimes the other dogs and I go outside to play. Did I mention that I love to play? There's even a new foster dog here and we've become friends, but my foster parents wanted me to tell you that I "still could benefit from an obedience training class to help with my socialization." Although I might not know what those big words mean, I do know these things about me: I am house-trained, and I do well either in a crate or free in the home; I walk good on a leash, but I'd really love a yard with a fence where I could run and play; and finally, I am very loyal and enjoy being wherever my people are, including their bed. If you've ever been left alone like me, then you know how wonderful it is to snuggle up to your very own person. It's a feeling that I wish could go on forever, and that's why I'm here, looking for a human or two—somebody like you--with a strong arm for throwing a ball and a soft heart to love a faithful boy like me. So now that you know what a good boy I am, I'm hoping you'll put in an application so I can find out more about you. I just know we'll be great together!
